What we checked

This report is for you

This block identifies the exact business listing we audited. It shows your business name, trade, and metro, with the website, address, Google rating, review count, and website snapshot where available.

The checks use your own website and public Google Business Profile information. Start here to make sure we are looking at the right business and location.

What you can do with it: Confirm the listing is yours before using the findings to make changes.

The story

Here's what's happening when someone needs you

A homeowner needs your trade, searches Google Maps or asks an AI assistant, and sees a handful of businesses first. This section explains how that turns into a call for one business and a missed job for another.

It sets up the rest of the report in plain language: where you show up, where a competitor shows up instead, and what may be making the difference.

What you can do with it: Explain the problem to your team without having to translate a marketing report.

The town-by-town grid

Where the call goes

The grid shows your rank in each checked town and who appears above you for the searches shown. The businesses holding the top spots are named, with their public ratings and review counts where available.

Read across towns to see where customers can find you and where another company is more likely to get the first call. These are positions measured at scan time; an unavailable check is marked as not measured.

What you can do with it: Pick the towns where you want to win more calls and see who you need to catch.

What it is worth

The leads going to someone else

The monthly-dollar range starts with real local Google search volume and cost per click, meaning what advertisers pay for a click. A rank-position click-share estimate models the clicks going to top-three map results in towns where you are not showing up.

The report uses a conservative assumption that half of clicks go to those top three results, then values the modeled missed clicks using local ad costs. This estimates the value of attention going elsewhere; it does not measure lost invoices or guarantee what you will earn by fixing the gaps.

What you can do with it: Use the range to judge which gaps deserve attention, alongside your own job values and booking rate.

AI answers

Do AI assistants name you?

We ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity the same customer-style question, three times each with live web search. Dated cards count how often each assistant names your business, and the competitor frequency table shows how often it names other businesses. If a run does not return results, the report shows the shortfall.

AI assistants vary run to run; the counts below are across three dated runs per assistant, not a single answer.

What you can do with it: Compare how often you and your competitors are named across the dated runs, then look for patterns.

The mystery shopper

We shopped your website the way a customer does

Being found is only the start. The automated mystery shopper follows the money journey a customer takes: find you, click through, look for a phone number, try to get a quote or book, and reach the contact form.

The journey checks show what works and what breaks, with evidence and a plain-language fix where available. They also check whether a visitor can quickly tell what work you do. No business is contacted as part of the report.

What you can do with it: Find the broken or hard-to-find steps that could cost you a ready-to-book customer.

Scorecard

What supports the score

Each category shows its points and maximum, so you can see how the overall Visibility score is supported. The per-check receipts spell out “Found” beside “Target”: what the scan saw and what the check was looking for.

That gives you something concrete to inspect on your listing or website, instead of guessing why a score is low.

What you can do with it: Use the receipts to verify a finding and give your web person a specific issue to investigate.

Your plan

What to fix, highest-impact first

The fix list is ordered, with the top three tagged “Start here.” Each fix explains why it matters, the evidence behind it, its impact, and the effort or person needed: you, your web person, or us.

The accompanying instructions identify the action, the kind of specialist who can help, and tools where provided. Tool mentions are informational, not paid endorsements or affiliate placements.

What you can do with it: Assign the first three fixes, with the evidence and instructions attached, and work down the list.

Methodology and variance

How we built this report

The methodology explains the live Google Maps searches, neutral location profile, search terms, scan date, and repeated AI checks. Public competitor figures are recorded at scan time; the monthly-dollar range is modeled, with its method shown beside it.

Rankings move with location, time, and competition. AI answers change between sessions, phrasings, and accounts, so your own search may differ. We keep the raw scan data on file. If a figure is wrong, reply to the delivery email and we will correct it and extend your scan at no charge.

What you can do with it: Read the findings as a dated pattern, and ask us to check any number you cannot reconcile.

Before you start

The Map, answered.

How long does it take?
Your free preview arrives within one business day. The full map, named competitors, and fix list are delivered in 48 hours.
What do I need to give you?
Your business name, trade, city or service area, and an email address for delivery. You can also add your name and website. We use your public listing and website; you do not need to share account passwords or install anything.
Is the preview really free?
Yes. You can request and read the preview without paying or entering a card. You decide whether to unlock the full map after you have seen it.
What is in the preview versus the $99 full map?
The preview includes your scorecard, the first two checked towns, your dated AI frequency counts, and details for the first fix and first journey check. Other town results, AI competitor names, and the remaining fix and journey details are locked. The $99 full map unlocks those details across every checked town, competitor, and recommended fix in your report. It is a one-time purchase.
How accurate is the dollar estimate?
It is an estimate, not a promise. Local search volume and ad click costs are measured inputs; the share of clicks going to top-ranked businesses is modeled. The range values potential missed clicks, not confirmed missed jobs or revenue. Your job values, booking rate, and changes in search results affect what it could mean for your business.
What is the refund policy?
Full refund within 7 days if the report is not useful. If this report does not show you at least 3 towns where the call is going to someone else, reply within 7 days and you pay nothing.
Do I have to buy anything else?
No. The full map is $99, once, with no contract or subscription. You can make the fixes yourself or give the plan to your web person. Having us do the work is optional.
